Navaratri is a celebration of worshipping nine forms of Goddess Shakti for Nine whole days. Every day is special in Navaratras with special worshipping of special Goddess with special Mantras. Following is a very powerful mantra which itself contains all mystic power of Nine Goddess and can give direct benefits if recited with proper ways in these nine auspicious days. As we said these are the auspicious days and people believe that one can perform any auspicious task in such days such as starting of education, business, engagement, marriage, buying house, buying car or any special things.

Lets recite the following mantra and worship nine goddess with the following schedule and with following mantras. Make sure to get more benefit of these days donate things which we have mentioned in Special Offering section.

Prathamam Shail-Putri cha, Dvitiyam Brahma-Charini,
Tratiyam Chandraghanteti, Kushmandeti Chaturthakam,

Devi of the day: SHAILAPUTREE
Mantra: Om Shailaputraye Namah.
Special Offerings for this tithi or day: Banana & Ghee made of cow milk.

Day – 2: Dwitya, Thrusday, 29-09-2011
Devi Durga : BRAHMACHARINEE
Mantra: Om Brahmachaarinnya Namah.
Special Offerings for this tithi or day: unsalted Butter and Sugar.

Day – 3: Tritya, Friday, 30-09-2011
Devi Durga : CHANDRAGHANTA
Mantra: Om Chandraghantaaye Namah.
Special Offerings for this tithi or day: Kheer & Milk.

Day – 4: Chaturthi, Saturday,  01-10-2011
Devi Durga : KOOSHMANDA
Mantra: Om Kooshmandaaye Namah.

Day – 8: Ashtami, Tuesday, 04-10-2011
Devi Durga : MAHAGAUREE
Mantra: Om Mahaagaurya Namah.
Special Offerings for this tithi or day: Banana and Coconut.

Day – 9: Navami, Wednesday, 05-10-2011
Devi Durga : SIDDHIDATREE
Mantra: Om Siddhidaatrye Namah.
Special Offerings for this tithi or day: Butter and Dhaan ka Lawa (Khoi).

Pooja or Worshipping Rule:
If you are not fasting and performing Pooja daily, then have food, but it should be Satvik (Light food, non spicy, with out onion and garlic). Alcohol and Non-Veg is strictly prohibited. For people who are fasting, please don’t sleep in a day, try to wake up early in a morning before sun rise.

Note: This Navaratri, two tithi are falling on the same day. Panchami and Shasthi both are falling on Sunday, 02-Oct-2011, hence you need to perform both Goddess Pooja on the same day. Luckily its Sunday, and you will get some extra time to perform additional things Smile
